Background:
Toys Today is a fictional magazine concept dedicated to covering all things toy-related on a monthly basis. Each issue features exciting new toy announcements, exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from top toy companies, interviews with industrial toy designers, and opportunities to collect limited-edition action figures or collectibles—available exclusively to Toys Today subscribers.
Design Problem:
To create a fictitious magazine cover and then expand on the magazine by creating more issues and page spreads that are inside the magazine.
Design Process:
In my design process, I began by selecting all the key elements I wanted to feature on my magazine cover. Once I had a clear vision, I carefully chose the perfect typefaces to complement the overall design.
Design Solution:
For my design solution, I carefully layered all the elements to create a cohesive composition. To make certain elements stand out, I added strokes around the vectors for extra emphasis. Finally, I incorporated my chosen typefaces, ensuring their colors contrasted effectively with the layers behind them for optimal visibility and impact.
